SAFE TRANSPORTATION FOR ART

Foto: Gerrit Schreurs

Our Mondrian and other collection pieces are internationally famous. That is why these works of art can not only be seen in Kunstmuseum Den Haag, but also regularly travel around the world. Here in The Hague we are also able to show beautiful artworks from other museums, such as the impressive pieces by Rothko and the colorful paintings by Monet in recent years. We strive to continue surprising and delighting visitors, and that is due in part thanks to loan traffic between various museums. So many people all over the world enjoy amazing art.

Donate for a Turtle - Safe transportation for art

Safe transport is of course a necessity for this. Thirty years ago, the Kunstmuseum therefore developed an innovative, sustainable form of transport crate together with the Hizkia company. 'The Turtle' is now a household name and museums all over the world work with it. Works of art are protected in these boxes against shocks, vibrations, and even the smallest fluctuations in humidity or temperature.

Our fifty Turtles have been around for over twenty years, but need to be refurbished to be able to last at least another thirty years. We also need a new and even larger box. There is of course a price tag attached to this, and we appeal to you for this sustainable investment. Please join us and donate for Turtles, we would greatly appreciate it!
