Kunstmuseum Den Haag has a treasure chamber of over 160.000 pieces of art. Here we work on making the highlights from this collection available online.
From his early days in the sixties, Jan Jansen (1941) has evolved into a shoe designer of world stature. International publications on contemporary shoe design contain many illustrations of his work. This exhibition in the Fashion Gallery encompasses all his most groundbreaking designs, from the couture shoes he produced for the Dutch avant-garde in the sixties through to the revolutionary floating wedge of 1989. The shoes are complemented by appropriate outfits by designers like Fong Leng and Yohji Yamamoto.
