Kunstmuseum Den Haag has a treasure chamber of over 160.000 pieces of art. Here we work on making the highlights from this collection available online.
After the Second World War a New Hague School arose in the shape of artists’ groups such as the Verve, Fugare and Posthoorn groups. We can now appreciate the innovative force of this movement and see how it changed the face of Dutch art. Reason enough to reflect on the New Hague School, half a century on, in the shape of a retrospective exhibition. And what better place to hold it than the Gemeentemuseum?
There is a video programme assembled by Augustijn Cultural Video Productions to accompany the exhibition. Programme: Theo Bitter (30 mins.) Jan van Heel (18 mins.) Nol Kroes (15 mins.)
