Come and paint your own self-portrait! How do you want to portray yourself? Powerful, vulnerable, dreamy or determined?

Between 12:00 and 15:30, you can take a seat and get started. Just like artist Charley Toorop, you will look in the mirror and paint your reflection with paint, palette and brush on a professional canvas behind an easel. Everything is ready for you, and our museum docents will help you along the way during the creative process.

  • 14.00 – 14.10 | 15.00 – 15.10

Harpist Indra Diallo will provide two musical moments of tranquillity and reflection in the hall during the afternoon. With the warm sounds of her harp – combining West African influences and Western classical music – she creates atmospheric moments that provide space for reflection, emotion and connection.

  • 13.00-14.15 uur

KM21 is currently hosting the exhibition Stones by British-Palestinian artist Rosalind Nashashibi. Here you can see a selection of her new paintings and the impressive film Electrical Gaza (approx. 18 min). In the auditorium of the Kunstmuseum, you can delve further into Nashashibi's work with Denim Sky. This is a three-part film about the fictional crew of a spaceship who have been brought together to develop a team spirit so that they can test a new form of space travel.

Unexpected and disturbing events repeatedly disrupt the group's humorous and convivial atmosphere. In the film, Nashashibi playfully explores different ways of living together and the effects of non-linear time travel on human relationships. The cast consists of Nashashibi herself, her two children and a small group of friends and colleagues.
