Walk-in tours – Lois Dodd (Dutch)

See how the everyday can be extraordinary in the paintings of Lois Dodd

Discover the work of pioneering American painter Lois Dodd (1927) in her first European retrospective exhibition. With over a hundred works – ranging from green landscapes and night skies to intimate close-ups of flowers and windows – Dodd shows how everyday life can be a source of poetry.

During the tour, the guide will talk about Dodd's special position in the New York art world after the Second World War. She was co-founder of the legendary Tanager Gallery and collaborated with artists such as Willem de Kooning, Alex Katz and Fairfield Porter. Her consistent search for her own style makes her work surprisingly relevant and inspiring today.
