Kunstmuseum Den Haag has a treasure chamber of over 160.000 pieces of art. Here we work on making the highlights from this collection available online.
The motive that drove Anni and Josef Albers to be active as art teachers for their whole lives was summarised by Josef in three words: 'to open eyes'.
Together, they encouraged young artists to open their eyes to the wonders around them: from nature to culture, from form to color.
We invite you to 'open your eyes' as well and share a personal observation with us of one work of art by either Josef or Anni Albers from the exhibition. The method is up to you: think about an essay, poem, dance, photo, or comic.
The Josef and Anni Albers Foundation will select a winner from all entries. The winner will receive a signed screenprint by Anni Albers.
The winner will be announced on Instagram on January 11th 2023. To make sure you’re kept up to date, follow our account on Instagram @kunstmuseum.nl.
