Kunstmuseum Den Haag has a treasure chamber of over 160.000 pieces of art. Here we work on making the highlights from this collection available online.
In 2015 Gemeentemuseum Den Haag launched a unique residency. Its ‘writer in residence’ project would give a nationally or internationally known writer free rein to explore the museum’s galleries and repositories. ‘Our museum is full of wonderful stories’, said Benno Tempel at the time. ‘A writer is the best person to pick up on and recount them. I also hope he or she will add something new to the collection. It could be anything, from poetry to prose.’ Miek Zwamborn was invited to become the museum’s first writer in residence. Her poems and a selection of artworks were displayed in Tamed Skies. She has now been succeeded by Mischa Andriessen.
