Children’s workshop: Delicious sculpting!
Create your own dessert out of clay
The exhibition ‘Grand Dessert- the history of the dessert’ features all kinds of sweets made by different artists from different cultures. Do you also love ice cream, cake, baklava and jelly? You get inspired with all your senses and then get to work in the museum studio yourself, using river clay and kitchen tools.
Make your favorite treats: a giant bonbon in pretty paper, a cake on a golden plate, a mega fortune cookie with a wish in it, or an twin ice cream on a stick! Will you join in?
Practical Information and Tickets
- Age group: Children aged 7 to 12
- When: Tuesday 21 October, Wednesday 22 October, Thursday 23 October, Friday 24 October, Saturday 25 October
- Time: 14.00 - 16.00 hrs (duration 120 min). We will gather in the museum lobby, where the children will also be picked up.
- Language: Dutch/English
- Number of participants: maximum of 15 children per workshop

- Price: €8.50 per child or €4,25 with the Ooievaarspas
Clothing
The children will work with a variety of materials during the workshop, including paint and ink, but bear in mind that there is always a chance of them splashing their clothes.
What to do while the children paint?
The workshops are exclusively for children. Please note that adults cannot attend the workshop. While the children paint, you’re welcome to explore the museum.
